School of Health Sciences

The School of Health Sciences (SoHS) is the Faculty of Medicine and Health’s newest Teaching and Research school. The SoHS presently runs the Faculty’s Bachelor of Exercise Physiology and is working to expand program offerings into the Allied Health space, including Physiotherapy, Pharmacy, Nutrition and Dietetics, and Exercise Science.

Our research directly contributes to the Faculty’s effort to improving heath in Australia and globally. Using exercise physiology, biomechanics and human movement sciences we will develop innovative approaches to support longer and healthier lives with a focus on cardiometabolic diseases, cancer, mental health and pain.

The SoHS also is home to the University’s Lifestyle Clinic, which currently providing exercise and movement therapy for both healthy populations and those living with chronic disease. The Lifestyle Clinic will expand allied health services in line with our new programs to become a leading multidisciplinary clinic.
