The St George and Sutherland Clinical School runs regular Research in Progress Meetings, a lunchtime research seminar aimed at researchers, students, UNSW and St George Hospital staff and any interested members of the public.

Our invited speakers are from the Discipline of Pathology, Sydney University, and will speak on the below topics:

A/Professor Paul Witting - Neutrophils recruited to the myocardium after acute experimental myocardial infarct generate hypochlorous acid that oxidizes cardiac myoglobin

Dr Belal Chami - Modulation of myeloperoxidase attenuates experimental colitis in mice - a potential therapeutic role for cyclic nitroxides
