This seminar is co-presented by two women from different faculties and different disciplines, Dr Husna Razee from the School of Public Health and Community Medicine and Dr Christine Steinmetz from the Faculty of Built Environment. They will be discussing one of the most basic, and possibly one of the most subjective techniques, in qualitative research, observation. During this session, both researchers will discuss how observation is not only used in their discipline, but also reflect on each other’s ‘view’. They will share insights about how cross-disciplinary conversations about observational research applications can add value to conventional protocols within one’s disciplinary framework.
