In this talk, I will present some of the challenges faced with conducting one of the most systematic and comprehensive assessments of the introduction of a new opioid formulation. I will discuss strategies to ensure accuracy, reproducibility and transparency of research findings and methods.
About Associate Professor Timothy Dobbins
Timothy Dobbins leads the Biostatistics and Data Insights Team at the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre, UNSW Sydney. He is an applied biostatistician who is committed to producing high quality work that is accessible to non-statisticians. He has an outstanding record of achievement in applied biostatistical research built since completing his PhD in Biostatistics in 2005 at the University of Sydney School of Public Health. Timothy is a leading authority in the analysis of linked routine health data for generating real-world evidence about major health issues, and has extensive experience in using multilevel models to analyse correlated data.
